The Jade

Jade or "U" as the Chinese call it is the common name for two separate stones with similar characteristics. Jade is the first and the second nephrite are both known by the name Jade.

Only in 1863. two stones have been recognized as separate species. More common is the jade, both stones are hard, fine scales suitable for processing.
